Troubleshooting Problems with the Installation

After an increasing number of users reported installation issues with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe has released a Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool that can be used to diagnose various installation problems. For example, the Cleaner Tool helps users remove the left-over installation files and entries in the Windows Registry. It also identifies and automatically resolves disk permission issues that can prevent smooth installation and lead to various errors. You may download this utility if your installation fails repeatedly, or the installation was not successful.

Apart from the installation perspective, there are other cases when the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool helps:

  • When an Adobe family software does not load at all or crashes to the Desktop
  • When a recurring glitch occurs that prevents smooth functioning of your Adobe application
  • You cannot sign in to your Adobe account, even though the login credentials you’ve entered are correct
  • You’re unable to uninstall (remove) your Adobe application.

Important things to keep in mind..

  • The Cleaner Tool will wipe out any logs that are important to report and diagnose a software problem.
  • You must not run this utility before completing the active file syncing. Doing so will permanently wipe out any unsynced files and those will be lost forever. You’ll not be able to retrieve them again.
  • It is always a good idea to take a proper backup of your existing files and projects, before initiating a complete clean-up.
  • Adobe discontinues downloads for older versions. If you’re using an older Adobe software, you’ll not be able to reinstall it back, if you don’t have the original installation media. It is highly recommended that you copy your original installation files, if any, to a safe location (for example, an external hard disk) to get those programs back. Adobe only retains the two most recent versions online.
